What a difference a year makes!

This first video was made in March 2009, about 4 months after Miss Kat's activation. The second was taped today, 18 months post. She is using the same book. In the first video I am signing the book to her off camera. In the second, she is reading it herself.

Oh. My. Goodness. WOW! What a massive leap in one year!

I'm also impressed by her reading skills- she's so young and reading so well!

She is doing great:) kids, rather they are born hearing or deaf, always make a big improvment from beginning year and ending year. I read what you wrote today on a message board. It will take her awhile to learn English. You might want to try ASLe (a software that uses ASL to teach english) will help her with her grammars.

And read, read, read, especially aloud :) You should follow http://followingyourbliss.blogspot.com

http://www.asle.tv/ <--- I hear from several deaf people that this help them understand English grammars much better because it explain it in ASL

beside you don't want to take your daughter's ASL friends away from her (or her away from them) We have enough division as it is.
