Three Billy Goats Gruff

Miss Kat brought home a "story board" with pictures. They had read the story of "Three Billy Goats Gruff" in class that day. She is retelling the story for all of us. (It is captioned for the signing impaired) Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3hwN9hcTPo

Hi Miss Kat's parents,

It is a great delight to see 5 year old Miss Kat telling a story in sign language. I can see her signing classifiers, role shifting, eye gaze, and facial expressions!

It pleases me to see that she is doing so well and she looked so excited to tell a story!

Thank you so much for sharing with all of us, and having us to meet the famous Miss Kat!

Keep it up with your great job with your daughter, and you deserve a pat on your back!

What a great job! I'm still not very good with my receptive sign language, but I picked up on some of it. I'm thankful for the captions, though!

Being able to re-tell a story is such an important skill. You are doing such a great mama!

Ack. I can't write tonight, obviously. I meant to say, "you are doing such a great job, mama!"

That is so cute. I LOVE watching little kids sign. She's so lucky to be learning at such a young age. :-)

I'd love to see her writing skills. Wait until she reaches about 6-7 years old!

It's going to be lots of fun.
