There is more to come on this post. I'm working on spliting the video and add subtitles.

Talk about an absolutely amazing, astounding amount of growth in the past year. WOW!

Also, she is the cutest thing ever- I love her reaction to the two white alligators- too funny!

Sign language is so vital for bridging those gaps, clarifying concepts, etc. These kiddos with progressive losses often aren't compensated properly for their losses- I know our use of sign has been increasing lately as Nolan doesn't understand what we said (or we didn't understand what he said). Communication is so vital that it is wonderful to have every tool available.

Really love the video and catching up on how well Miss Kat is doing. We are about six months behind you and it is so encouraging to see how much she is understanding after a year. Even how much she is not understanding is a huge help to me.
Thanks for taking the time to put up the video.

great video...it brought tears to my eyes. I can't believe how far she has come since June...what a HUGE difference!! Her receptive language is great and I am amazed at how clear her speech is...way to go mom!

Wow, how wonderful! I too wondered about Ellie's ability to approximate words on the paper - I'm so impressed by Kat's "apl" spelling! That's so on-target, it's amazing. Her spoken language is astounding, and she has come so far since the summer. It's so good to see/hear you both again. :) We miss you!
